Position Summary

Grace Church is seeking an Accounting Director to serve as a key leader. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in both the details and the big picture — you'll own the day-to-day accuracy of our financial operations while also contributing strategic thinking to help our church steward its resources well. Job Responsibilities

• Engage in all financial operations including reporting, budgeting, contributions, disbursements, payroll, employee benefits and special projects

• Lead, develop, and support the accounting team in day-to-day execution 

• Ensure financial systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs. Evaluate and implement new systems and improvements 

• Provide financial information and recommendations to church leadership and ministries

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity across all financial data and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred (CPA or MBA a plus) 

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including team leadership/people management 

• Proficiency in accounting and payroll software; experience with Quickbooks, Paycom, and PushPay/ChMS is a plus

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities 

• Discretion with sensitive financial and personnel information
