Adult Classes

Adult Education/Sunday School: It is impossible to live an effective Christian life without a good understanding of the Word of God. Grace Church offers excellent Bible classes for adults. Taught by pastors Tony Slavin and Dave Reid, they are fun and practical. Adult Classes are every Sunday morning at 10:00 in classrooms 4 and 5.

Currently, Pastor Dave is teaching from the Gosple of Isaiah. There is so much prophecy of the Savior in this foundational book from the Old Testament. Like the books of Moses, Isaiah is one of the most influential books on the New Testament. Isaiah also has so much to say about practical living for the believer! Dave's passion for Christ and the Bible is evident in everything he teaches.

Financial Peace: Join us Sundays from 11:30am - 1:30pm for a 14-week course to start your walk toward financial freedom. This course, by radio personality and author Dave Ramsey, will give you step-by-step ways to get out of debt and remove the stress of financial problems. There is a cost for the class, and partial scholarships are available. The next Financial Peace University course will be September 14, 2008 - December 14, 2008. The Exchanged Life Conference: This is a Bible based seminar. It centers on our new identity in Christ and how to get away from legalism and self-help stuff and walk by faith in the power of Christ. Many Christians have heard that they have a new identity in Christ, but few have ever learned what it's about so that it makes a significant difference in their life. If you only go to one seminar in your whole life, this is it. The next conference will be February 19-21, 2009. Check back soon for registration to open! The Exchanged Life Level 2: The Exchanged Life Level 2 is the next level of training after the Exchanged Life Conference. The Conference shows us the basics of our new identity in Christ; Level 2 shows us how to explain these truths to someone else in a casual way. The Exchanged Life Level 2 anchors the truth of our new identity deep in our heart. This evening and two days may change your life! There's just one catch, you must have attended an Exchanged Life Conference before you can attend Level 2. Spiritual Gifts: This introductory class is designed to help the believer understand more about God's purpose for his/her life by:

  • Recognizing his/her worth as a child of God.
  • Learning how God uniquely shaped His children.
  • Revealing how spiritual gifts translate into serving in the Body of Christ.

This class is offered several times a year. Lunch or dinner and childcare are provided for those who attend. Life@Grace: Life@Grace, the Newcomers' class at Grace, is typically offered once a month. The class is designed for those who wish to learn more about the philosophy, beliefs, history, goals and vision of Grace. Lunch and childcare are provided for those who attend. Life@grace is taught by Pastors Dan Frank and Harvey Turner. The next three Life@grace classes will be from 1-5pm on January 11, February 8 and March 15, 2009. Starting Point: A class in the "basics" for those investigating Christianity, new believers in Jesus, or "old-timers" in the Lord who just want to review the basics. This class is taught by Pastor Tony Slavin. The first offering of this newly revamped class started October 2, 2008 and runs 10-12 weeks. Childcare is not available. Baptism Class: Jesus has called every person who has decided to become a follower of Christ to be water baptized – a symbol of the death of the old sinful life and the beginning of your new life in Christ. Grace Church is thrilled to help you follow the Savior in getting baptized! Prior to being baptized, you must attend a baptism class at Grace. This class is (of course!) completely free and is typically offered twice in the days leading up to a Baptism Service. The next available classes will be Sunday, January 11, 2009 @ 11:30am and 5pm at Grace Church. The next Baptism Service will be the following Sunday, January 18, 2009 @ 1pm.
